LYNCH EARNS PDL TEAM OF THE WEEK

 

TAMPA, Fla. - Thunder Bay Chill's Sullivan Silva has been voted PDL Player of Week after scoring five goals and providing one assist in four games during Week 10.

The forward helped the Chill earn two wins and two ties, playing in all four games on the road in a six-day span. Silva scored in three of the four games, netting a hat trick against the Chicago Fire U-23 on Thursday at Toyota Park.

The Dayton Dutch Lions' Eric Lynch earns PDL Team of the Week honors for a second time this regular season after recording two goals and two assists over the course of two games in Week 10.

GK - Ryan Cretens, Carolina Dynamo: UNC Wilmington's Cretens recorded back-to-back shutouts to help the Dynamo reclaim second in the South Atlantic Division. The netminder made five saves against the Southern West Virginia King's Warriors on July 4 before making three saves in a tight 1-0 win against SC United Bantams on Saturday.
D - Mauricio Pineda, Chicago Fire U-23: Pineda helped the Fire U-23 earn four points in Week 10, and he was the key player in the team's 1-0 win against the St. Louis Lions on Saturday. The University of North Carolina signee scored the game-winner while helping the back line keep the shutout.
D - Jalen Markey, Washington Crossfire: Oregon State University's Markey scored the game-winner against the Portland Timbers U-23s at Delta Park on Saturday while also helping the club earn the shutout.
D - Ryan Howe, Ocean City Nor'easters: Loyola University Chicago's Howe provided all three assists in the Nor'easters' 3-1 win against the Jersey Express at the Tennessee Ave Soccer Complex on Sunday.
D - Benjamin Lamb, Western Mass Pioneers: The University of New Haven's Lamb scored a late game-winner against the Westchester Flames on Friday, keeping the Pioneers in prime position to claim the Northeast Division title.
M - Guilherme Da Silva Leme, GPS Portland Phoenix: Utah Valley University's Da Silva Leme netted back-to-back braces, scoring his first two against the Long Island Rough Riders on Friday before netting another pair in a 4-2 win against FA Euro New York on Saturday.
M - Rayane Boukemia, Reading United AC: Southern New Hampshire University's Boukemia scored two goals, including the opener, and provided one assist to lead Reading United to a 7-1 victory against Evergreen FC on July 6.
M - Eric Lynch, Dayton Dutch Lions: Wright State University's Lynch scored once and assisted once in each of the Dutch Lions' games during Week 10. He scored the eventual game-winner in the 3-1 win over the Derby City Rovers on July 6 before assisting the game-tying goal in a 3-3 slugfest against Kokomo Mantis FC on Saturday.
F - Sullivan Silva, Thunder Bay Chill: Silva scored five goals and provided one assist to lead the Chill to an eight-point week, including netting a hat trick against the Fire U-23 and scoring the game-winner against Mantis FC on July 4.
F - Khalid Arramdani, Burlingame Dragons FC: Helping Dragons FC clinch a playoff berth, Arramdani scored a goal in the club's 2-1 win against the Fresno Fuego on Friday and in the team's 4-0 win against the Las Vegas Mobsters on Sunday.
F - Bryan Perea, FC Miami City: Perea scored a hat trick in Miami City's 6-2 win against Palm Beach Suns FC at Tropical Park Soccer Stadium on Saturday.
