The Junior Academy program is a youth developmental program, for boys and girls, that provides instruction to our youngest players (5, 6 & 7 years old). This program is designed to be the developmental bridge from recreational soccer to competitive soccer. The professional coaches from Dayton Dutch Lions FC will provide age appropriate technical training and game day instruction to the very youngest players.
The Junior Academy is vital to the foundation of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC. The focus at these critical ages is to enhance and encourage individual skill development while establishing a love and passion for the game. As coaching staff, we understand the importance of correct and relevant instruction at an early age, which will help develop at an older age. The learning environment that we create will be positive and safe for these young players. This will aid in building confidence, self-esteem, and the love and passion for the game.
The program includes:
- Two training sessions per week
- Every player will receive a training shirt
- Focus on ball skills, agility, and coordination
- Fun soccer related games
- Small Side Games 1v1 – 4v4
