Dayton Dutch Lions FC pro player and youth academy coach Eric Kissinger gets Head Coach position at Miami Valley School

Dayton, February 2 2013 – Eric Kissinger, who has been with the Dutch Lions FC as a professional player and youth coach since the start of the club in 2010, has been named the head varsity boys’ soccer coach at Miami Valley School. The Miami Valley School is one of the main partners of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC, with all practices of the Professional Men’s Team, Women’s Team, Super Y-League teams and also more and more youth academy teams being held at their beautiful facility.

President Mike Mossel had this to say on the promotion: “I am proud that Eric is the new Head Coach for MVS. Besides being a great person to work with he brings not only professionalism but also (playing and coaching) experience and important life values such as integrity and trust to an organization. I believe the kids and parents at MVS will truly enjoy and benefit from that in the soccer program, as we have the last three years. It also strengthens our relationship with MVS more, something we are very excited about and hope to grow more the coming years.

As the only independent, college-preparatory school in the Dayton area, The Miami Valley School offers a rigorous academic program to a diverse group of students from more than 34 surrounding communities. The small classes, dedicated faculty, challenging curriculum, individualized college-counseling program, and competitive athletics provide students with all the tools they need to succeed.

MVS Director of Athletics Ken Laake commented on the appointment of Eric as Head Coach:

“He has climbed the playing and coaching ladder within the MVS program he will now lead, and it’s a privilege to hire such a quality coach who has been trained by Coach Carrillo.”

Eric started as the middle school assistant coach, middle school head coach, and Carrillo’s varsity assistant coach. “Eric Kissinger will be a fantastic coach for the MVS boys’ soccer team,” said Carrillo. “He has the experience and knowledge to take the program to a new level.  His ideas and philosophies will be embraced by all the players, and we are looking forward to what the future of the program will be under his guidance and leadership.”
