Academy (age 8-18)

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC youth academy’s development model is based on the worldwide-recognized Dutch development philosophy, ranked by the FIFA in the highest category of quality. A model that has developed players such as Arjen Robben, Robin van Persie, Wesley Sneijder, Memphis Depay and many others.

The Dutch Lions FC provide full time, licensed and experienced youth coaches to guarantee top player development in all areas.

As a way to communicate and improve, Dayton Dutch Lions FC families will be invited to 2 general parent meetings and asked to participate in our customer satisfaction surveys each year. A weekly newsletter is sent out as well to keep everyone updated with all club related activities.

DDLFC'S PLAYER DEVELOPMENT MODEL 

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC Youth Academy has a focus to develop every player to their potential. We will place players in the appropriate age and skill level with the right training environment to develop each player. It is important to grow individual skills and soccer intelligence, which will impact creativity and confidence in the young athlete.

Select:

  • Players 8 to 11 years old
  • Training focused on advanced skills and basic game tactics
  • Winning is not important
  • U9 and U10 teams
  • Compete in regional 7v7 leagues
  • Develop speed and agility
  • U11 and U12 teams
  • Compete in regional 9v9 leagues
  • Develop coordination, balance and visual awareness

Advanced:

  • Players 12, 13 and 14 years old
  • Training focused on advanced game tactics and train to improve
  • Teams compete in state wide 11v11 leagues
  • Winning is important, but not the main goal

Senior:

  • Players 15 to 18 years old
  • Training focused on advanced game tactics and train to excel
  • “Winning Environment” is introduced and cultivated
  • Teams compete in state wide 11v11 leagues
  • Teams play in high level tournaments or college showcases
