Fees & Returns

A detailed list of fees, payment information and discounts for the Academy can be requested with Youth Academy Manager Eddie Hertsenberg.

 

Premier Academy

  • The select soccer calendar consists of three seasons, the Fall, Winter and Spring. The Fall typically starts at the beginning of August and lasts until November. The Spring starts in March and lasts until June. During the winter our teams intend to play in one indoor competition. The coach will discuss the winter program and indoor competition with his or her team after the Fall season. Indoor fees are not included.
  • The Dutch Lions FC Premier Academy will have a maximum of one team in every age group and two teams in age groups U7-U12.
  • Dutch Lions FC teams will be applying to participate in the Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association and/or Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League in the youth ages. Each team, if accepted, will play in a division that is developmentally appropriate.
  • The Dutch Lions FC have a partnership with Dutch Premier League Club FC Twente, whose Youth Academy was voted 'Best Academy in Holland' in 2007 and 2008. Teams in the Premier Academy of the Dutch Lions FC are trained using the FC Twente philosophy, with an emphasis on technical and tactical development.
  • Teams from U7-U12 practice an average of three times a week. Teams U13-U19 practice three to four times a week. Premier Academy Teams will practice at least once a week on artificial grass.
  • Coaches will have an UEFA A or B coaching license (with the exception of U7, U8 and U9 coaches) or professional players that are in the process of obtaining that license. No parents will be coaching.
  • Players will have three player development meetings each year, which include a evaluation by the coach.
  • There will be a minimum of four nights of video analysis of games throughout the year at the office of the Dutch Lions FC.
  • Consistent with the Dutch philosophy of educating youth soccer players, the Dutch Lions FC program strives to enhance the growth of young men and women both on and off the pitch. On the pitch through their tactical and technical development with the best coaches and facilities, and off the pitch through intellectual, moral, social and physical growth. We create a very professional environment with integrity and ethical conduct, which promotes competitive excellence, sportsmanship and community service.
  • There will be two individual parent-coach meetings and two general parent meeting per year.
  • All academy players receive a season ticket for the pro games of the Men’s and Women’s first team.
  • Through our quality programs we fulfill the dreams of young kids to become a professional soccer player in the USA or Europe and/ or help them and their parents to obtain a soccer scholarship.
  • Referee fees are included.

 

Development Academy

  • The select soccer calendar consists of three seasons, the Fall, Winter and Spring. The Fall typically starts at the beginning of August and lasts until November. The Spring starts in March and lasts until June. During the winter the Development Academy teams will practice twice a week and play small scrimmages and possibly play in an indoor competition.
  • Dutch Lions FC teams will be applying to participate in the Miami Valley Youth Soccer Association and/or Buckeye Premier Youth Soccer League in the youth ages. Each team, if accepted, will play in a division that is developmentally appropriate.
  • The Dayton Lions FC have a partnership with Dutch Premier League Club FC Twente, whose Youth Academy was voted 'Best Academy in Holland' in 2007 and 2008. Teams of the Dayton Lions FC are trained using the FC Twente philosophy, with an emphasis on technical and tactical development. The best players of the Premier Academy have a chance to go to the Premier Academy.
  • Development Academy teams practice two times a week.
  • Coaches will have an UEFA C or D coaching license or is a professional player in the process of obtaining that license. No parents will be coaching.
  • Players will have three player development meetings each year, which include a evaluation by the coach.
  • There will be a minimum of two nights of video analysis of games throughout the year at the office of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC.
  • Consistent with the Dutch philosophy of educating youth soccer players, the Dayton Lions FC program strives to enhance the growth of young men and women both on and off the pitch. On the pitch through their tactical and technical development with the best coaches and facilities, and off the pitch through intellectual, moral, social and physical growth. We create a very professional environment with integrity and ethical conduct, which promotes competitive excellence, sportsmanship and community service.
  • There will be two individual parental meetings and two general parental meeting per year.
  • There will be a maximum of three tournaments played by each team per year. Tournament fees and travel costs are not included in annual fees.
  • All academy players receive a season ticket for the pro games of the Men’s and Women’s team.
  • Through our quality programs we try to fulfill the dreams of young kids to become a professional soccer player in the USA or Europe and/or help them and their parents to obtain a (partial) soccer scholarship.
  • Referee fees are included.
