DAYTON, OH — The Dayton Dutch Lions FC will play in UMBRO in the 2012 season. The new gear will be presented this week and the new official game jersey will also be for sale as well through our webshop the coming week.

Umbro, Ltd., a subsidiary of NIKE, Inc., is the original Manchester based football brand that invented sportswear and sports tailoring. Umbro’s first major football kit was made for Manchester City in 1934, a kit they won the FA Cup in. Today, the company combines its heritage in sports tailoring with modern football culture to create groundbreaking and iconic football apparel, footwear and equipment that blend performance and style.

President Mike Mossel had this to say on the change of brand from the 2011 season: "I was very pleased with the look of our custom made 2011 jersey from Jemsz. The only problem was that it had to be imported from Poland which created some difficulties in delivery. I therefore wanted to go with a US based company that has stock in place and can deliver even small numbers in a few days. UMBRO has been a partner with the USL for years and when I talked to the UMBRO representatives at our annual League meeting in Tampa in December I was very happy with what they brought to the table. The gear is already in our office with also plenty of game jerseys for our fans available. It looks very good and am positive the players from our Men's Women's, U20 and youth academy teams will be just excited as I am."
