4 Assets USL Pro Team
DAYTON, OH — The Dayton Dutch Lions FC have added four US players to its roster. Combined with the sixteen players, earlier announced, the roster has a total of 20 outstanding pro players today. The squad is preparing for their first official away game on April 13th, playing the Charlotte Eagles under management of Head Coach Ivar van Dinteren.

 

The four signings are try-out standouts Gibson Bardsley, Joshua Boone, Jeremy Cheeseman and Taylor Lord. Forward Bardsley is originally from Fall City, Washington.


Gibson Bardsley

The 22-year old native American has played for the Charlotte Eagles in the 2011 USL Pro season. Bardsley attended Mount Si High School, and played four years of college soccer at Western Washington University. He was named a first-team GNAC all-star as a sophomore in 2008, and was named to the Daktronics All-American first team and the Daktronics first team, was an NSCAA West Region All-Star, the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a unanimous first-team all-league selection as senior in 2010. The brand new Lion finished his college career with 41 goals for the Vikings, tied for first in school history. During his college years Bardsley also played for the Abbotsford Marinersand Washington Crossfire in the USL Premier Development League.


Joshua Boone

DDL FC's next signing is midfielder Josh Boone. The 19-year old talent was picked from the November 2011 try-out in the USA. Boone has tried out in The Netherlands for Cambuur Leeuwarden during his professional career. Besides that, he has played four seasons of varsity soccer for the Eagles. Boone contributed in reaching the 2011 3A State title, joining the 2010 National championship and becoming a finalist in 2011. Boone comes from Greer, S.C. and is on the field in Dayton to get ready for the USL Pro season 2012.

 

Besides Bardsley and Boone, the Dayton Dutch Lions FC are happy to announce the signings of defenders Jeremy Cheeseman and Taylor Lord. 21-year old Cheeseman has played for the New York Rangers in the PDL 2011, after he was a recognized player at the East Stroudsburg University. The American defender is a huge talent that stood out in the DDL FC try-out in March 2012.


Jeremy Cheeseman

Native Canadian Taylor Lord has played for the Canadian National Under 20 Team. Taylor has great European experience, as he played a for French and German clubs during his soccer career. Lord will perform in #22, and will strengthen the orange Lions the coming season.
