DDL FC looking for first goals in home opener

Dayton, April 26 2012

After a disappointing loss last week against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds the Dayton Dutch Lions FC is looking to bounce back in their first presentation for their home crowd at Careflight Stadium in Springboro.

Head Coach Ivar van Dinteren has this to say on the upcoming game: “I am very exited to have our home opener. This is where everybody in the club worked for very hard for several months to promote the game and meet our team for the first time this season. I hope we will have a lot of orange fans in the stands but I know we will have already over 200 kids from our youth academy. Rochester is an established and good team and they got off with a perfect start (2-0) and look one of the favorites this year. But after the second half in Pittsburgh we are very confident to challenge them. We might make some slight changes tactically compared to our first two games. But I sense the boys are very eager all week also picking up a  2-0 win against Bowling Green University. They have been waiting for this game for some time now and can't wait to show what they can to our fans.”

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC is currently 0-1-1 after two games on the road and has three home games on a row. After Rochester Rhinos they play the Richmond Kickers Saturday May 5 and the Los Angeles Blues Friday May 11.
