Dayton Dutch Lions FC face MLS partner Columbus Crew next Tuesday May 29 at 7.30pm in Columbus.
Dayton, May 23 2012
After the Dayton Dutch Lions FC beat Chicago Fire PDL last night in Chicago, the team now faces the Columbus Crew next Tuesday. Besides FC Twente in the Netherlands the Lions also have a partnership with the Columbus Crew making the game extra special.
President Mike Mossel on the draw: "first of all I am happy we advanced to the third round and get a chance to play one of the better teams in the nation. I just wish we could have played them at home for our home crowd and bring top soccer to the region, one of our objectives as a club. But for the guys it will be very nice to play in the Crew stadium and although the Crew of course is favorite to win this is a Cup game and in Cup games everything is possible. Richmond proved that last year advancing to the semi finals. Hopefully our fans will come in orange and give us support and make it a great game."
