Great Support 4-0 Friendly DDL VS. Bellbrook HS Alumni

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC Men’s professional team has turned tonight’s scrimmage at Miami Valley High School against the Bellbrook HS Alumni team into a 4-0 win. The stands counted over 140 supporters tonight, which resulted in a great atmosphere with very sympathetic soccer and a fun, positive energy on and off the pitch.

The DDL FC team returned this morning from a 4 day trip to Los Angeles and will have it’s full roster in action tonight combined over the two halfs. Besides the players your coaches Ivar van Dinteren and Patrick Bal has also played time on the pitch. Van Dinteren scored 2 out of 4 goals in his 25 minutes play time, besides a PK of Priestley and free kick from Bardsley against the former Bellbrook HS soccer heroes!

President Mike Mossel set up the game with Bellbrook’s head Coach of the Men soccer Kevin Terrell and athletic director Tom Bean. The game is the start of an annual event between the three year partners.

Mossel on the event: Bellbrook HS and Athletic Director Tom Bean have been very good with us from our start in 2010 and without them we would not be where we are today. Their stadium and field are top notch and both our pro guys and academy players enjoy playing and practicing here.”

“A large part of our fanbase is located right here in Bellbrook,” Mossel continues, “and I thought it would be a good idea to celebrate our partnership every year with a game for our local fans and the opportunity for them to meet with our players and entire staff. It is also nice for the Bellbrook HS alumni to get a chance to play against pro players and see their old friends again. I hope everyone has enjoyed themselves tonight.”

DDL FC is coming off a tough two game road trip losing both games 1-0 against Los Angeles. They will be seeking to get their first home win of the season against the Wilmington Hammerheads this Saturday in a double header with the Women’s team, who play the Fredericksburg Impact at 5.30pm. The Men’s game is scheduled to start at 8.00pm. The games will be played at Bellbrook HS. Tickets can be purchased at
