Game report:

After a good game last week (0-0) the U14 Boys got their first win at Wall2Wall for the season. With back to back shut outs the Lions are undefeated for 2 games on a row.

It wasn’t the best game the boys played. Too many passes bounced and instead of controlling the ball and brining it down the next pass also went up. At times it looked like a game of pinball.
We didn’t start that bad. With an opportunity from kick off and more changes for Spencer and Jack we could have been up early.

Although we didn’t play our style as well as we wanted we were the stronger team. Defense only gave up 1 shooting opportunity and Trent was having his easiest day so far on goal.
Up front it was a matter of time before we would score and twice it was Jack who scored them.

Coach Patrick was happy with the win, but not with the game: “Last week we played in a higher intensity and we played better. Today we got more space and we weren’t able to take advantage of it the way we should. We always created an extra player on midfield, but we made too many poor passes and poor decisions which cost us a lot of ball possession.
I’m happy that we won, we got another shut out and that the boys are making a mentality change over the last few weeks. I hope and expect that this positive change will stay there for the rest of the season”.
