The Dayton Dutch Lions FC held their third and final tryout for their men’s USL Pro for the 2013 season on Saturday, March 2, 2013. 62 registered players from all over the U.S. and from as far away as England and the country of Georgia battled frigid temperatures to showcase their talents at Athletes in Action Sports Complex in Xenia, OH in one last hope for a spot on the 2013 roster. This final tryout was sponsored by Chipotle located on Wilmington Pike in Bellbrook.
Dutch Lions Technical Manager, Patrick Bal stated that talent was exceptional at this tryout and that at least four players will be approached for the 2013 season. Says Bal, “Except for the cold and snowy day it was a perfect tryout. Every year we pick up players from our tryouts and also this year we saw some great talent and already contacted a few players that we’re interested in for the upcoming season. We want to thank all players for coming to Dayton and give us the opportunity to see their talents. It was a high level tryout.”
