W-team takes first place in strong Division, face Carolina today
Dayton, June 16 2013 - The Dayton Dutch Lions FC Women's team bounced back from a 1-0 goal by Macky Wingo of Charlotte Eagles in the 70th minute to win their first game on the road this weekend. Elizabeth Soto scored the equalizer a minute later off a Juliana Libertin cross and captain Emilie Fillion scored a big goal in the 84th minute to secure the 2nd win this season against the Lady Eagles.
The Lions are now 3-0-1 for the season and lead the Division with 10 points out of 4 games. Atlanta and Carolina also have 10 points but played two and three more games than the Lions. The team faces Carolina Sunday afternoon at 3.30pm.
