DDL’s Emilie Fillion first day at FC Twente



Dayton, February 7 2014 – After a night flight from Montreal DDL’s captain and leading scorer Emilie Fillion landed in Amsterdam Friday morning. After a two hour drive she was taken to the Grolsch Veste to see the stadium, meet her new Coach Arjan Veurink, officially sign her contract with FC Twente’s President Joop Munsterman, take pictures inside the stadium and give some interviews. The interview with FC Twente TV can be seen here. After that Emilie went to see her new apartment and visited the FC Twente training complex.

Dayton Dutch Lions FC President Mike Mossel accompanied Emilie all day together with Stefan Beerens, who made behind the scene footage for DL TV. A compilation of footage of the whole day will be posted the coming days.

    All practices and games of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Men’s team (USL PDL) and Women’s team (USL WPSL) will be at the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Soccer Complex in West Carrollton. The stadium seats 3500 people. In 2014 the Dayton Dutch Lions FC and Dayton Outpatient Center (DOC) installed an new artificial turf field in the stadium. DOC Stadium was opened in May 2014 when former 2x “FIFA Best Player in the World” Ruud Gullit kicked off the game against LA Galaxy II in the USL PRO League.
