Ruud Gullit as Manager LA Galaxy
After his playing career Ruud Gullit was also Head Coach for Chelsea, Newcastle United, Feyenoord, Los Angeles Galaxy and Terek Grozny.
President Mike Mossel commented on the Ruud Gullit coming to Dayton:
"The coming of Ruud Gullit to Dayton is in combination with the opening of our new franchise in Cincinnati and is something truly amazing. We have one of the world's all time best soccer players right here in Dayton to kick off one of our games and also do a soccer clinic with local soccer players so kids (and parents) can meet him and learn from him. His coming is a perfect match with what the Dutch Lions FC envisions through their clubs in Cincinnati and Dayton: bring top level soccer to Ohio. Through it's USL PRO and PDL teams offering the best local players a chance to become professional and offering soccer clinics with former world star players like Ruud Gullit. We are still working on an exciting event with him for the May 10 game and will announce more details soon."
