Last Saturday April 19th, the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Junior Academy kicked off the first of six free sessions at the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Soccer Complex. The Junior Academy is open to 4-9 year olds who wants the play soccer the Dutch way. The Junior Academy program offers boys and girls a chance to gain their first Dutch Lions experience in soccer.
The first practice was led by Academy Manager, Eric Groenheide. The practice started with some dribbling and ball touches to get used to the game of soccer. The second part of the practice the players learned the pullback move, which they used afterwards in a 1v1 exercise. The practice was closed with a scrimmage!
‘’The first practice was a great success, we’ve made a lot of fun and the children really enjoyed the game of soccer’’, said Academy Manager, Eric Groenheide. ‘’Hopefully next week even more children will be at the Junior Academy practice.
Every boy and girl between 4 – 9 years old who wants gain their first Dutch Lions experience is more than welcome to join the Junior Academy, next practice is Saturday April 26th at 10.00pm at the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Soccer Complex.

What to bring: Soccer Ball, Water bottle(s), Healthy Snacks, Cleats or sneakers, Shin Guards, Warm Clothes for cold/rain
