DDL FC signs Janneh Karamba

Dayton, August 7 2014 – The Dayton Dutch Lions FC signed Ocala Stampede midfielder Janneh Karamba for the remaining 2014 season. Karamba was part of the PDL squad that made the USL PDL Final Four Championship last week.


Karamba is a typical number 10 with a lot of speed and debth. He is originally from Gambia and previously played for Monroe College and Manhattan Athletic. He scored 3 goals in 11 games with the Stampede, earning a selection in the All Southern Conference Team for the 2014 season.  He made such a good impression on Technical Director Matt Weston that he was offered a contract for the rest of the season. Karamba will be flying straight to Charleston to join the team for this weekend’s games in Charleston (Friday) and Wilmington (Saturday).

    DDL Soccer Complex

    All practices and games of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Men’s team (USL PDL) and Women’s team (USL WPSL) will be at the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Soccer Complex in West Carrollton. The stadium seats 3500 people. In 2014 the Dayton Dutch Lions FC and Dayton Outpatient Center (DOC) installed an new artificial turf field in the stadium. DOC Stadium was opened in May 2014 when former 2x “FIFA Best Player in the World” Ruud Gullit kicked off the game against LA Galaxy II in the USL PRO League.
