DAYTON, Ohio – The Dayton Dutch Lions FC (5-15-2, 17 points) are travelling south to play the Charleston Battery (6-8-7, 25 points) on Friday August 8, 2014 and then play another game on Saturday against the Wilmington Hammerheads FC (6-4-8, 26 points).

Friday’s game is also the debut of new Head Coach Matt Weston, who led Thursdays practice already and is coaching the team for the remainder of the season. He had this to say on the upcoming games and his return in the USL PRO League: “

Coach Weston Stated, “We are looking forward to the challenge this weekend presents. The squad is looking sharp, focused and ready for Charleston. After only spending a short time with the players, I already sense a heightened confidence which now needs to translate into a positive performance on the pitch. The lads have responded very well since my introduction and I'm personally excited about the challenge that lies ahead. We go into the weekend full of confidence, ready to turn the corner and get some vital points”.
After the game the Lions stay on the road to play the Richmond Kicker on Saturday August 16.
