Dayton Dutch Lions News Release -- www.dutchlionsfc.com
Dayton, August 22, 2014 - The Dayton Dutch Lions FC will be hosting the MLS’s Colorado Rapids Reserves this weekend in what should prove to be an exciting match.
The Lions are coming off a successful road trip in which they were able to collect numerous points. The road trip was the first with new coach Matt Weston and several additional late season signees. The team has had a renewed focus and since of comradeship, and are looking to prove to their fans and others that they are a force to be reckoned with.
Coach Weston is excited about this weekend’s matchup. “We are looking forward to coming 'home' after three positive away results. Confidence has been restored within the squad and we are really looking forward to putting on a performance for our home fans. The players have really taken to our new system, which has been implemented. They have come in every day with a smile on their face and have shown a real desire to continue to learn. We now take this belief into the weekend and what will be a stern test against an MLS reserve side. Colorado will certainly test every area of our game and we have to respond by earning the right to win. We still have everything to play for and that's pride in being a professional & wearing the DDL shirt,” said coach Weston.
The match against Colorado will be held Saturday, Aug. 23 at 7PM at DOC Stadium. Tickets can be purchased at www.ddlfc.com, and clicking the link at the bottom of the page.
