Alex Warren, player of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Women's team in 2013 and 2014 has signed a professional contract with ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands. Warren's solid and strong performances in the last two USL W-League seasons did not go unnoticed.
Warren was on trial with the Dutch professional team since the start of the season and has left a good impression to ADO Den Haag Women's coaching staff.
Warren, also a DDL youth Academy coach this past season, was very excited with this opportunity "I am very happy that ADO Den Haag Women have given me the chance to continue my soccer career in the Netherlands. I've always wanted to play in Europe. This has already been a great learning experience for me and I am looking forward for this great challenge."
Warren was part of the 2013 W-League season, winning the regular season conference championship and organization of the year award. Former DDL Women Head Coach and actual Technical Director, Sid van Druenen, was happy for Alex, "Alex has a strong personality, great determinaton and is also a good defender. We are all very happy for her and wish her the best of luck with this new challenge."
After Emilie Fillion signing professionaly with FC Twente last season, Warren is now the second player in two years that gets signed by European clubs after playing for the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Women's program.
