The Dayton Dutch Lions FC will organize open try outs for the 2015 PDL season on February 21 and 22. The try outs will be held at the DOC Stadium in West Carrollton Ohio.
These try outs are open to the public and will be run by club’s Technical Director Sid van Druenen. The top players from the Saturday session will be invited back for the Sunday session.
“This is a great opportunity for us to start building our roster for the 2015 season,” van Druenen said. “We are very excited to be back in the PDL and are working hard to build a Championship team and bring top level amateur soccer to Dayton.”
After its initial start in the PDL in 2010, the club played in USL PRO from 2011 to 2014. Some of the highlights during those four years were reaching the USL PRO playoffs with a winning record in 2013 and advancing to the quarter finals of the US Open Cup in 2012, falling short to eventual winners Sporting KC in front of 17.000 fans.
