The Dayton Dutch Lions FC have announced that open try outs for the 2015 PDL season have been postponed for a second time, this time to Saturday March 28th. The try outs where originally postponed for February 28th, but because of the cold temperatures and snow covering the field the try outs have been rescheduled to late March. The Try Outs will still be held at the DOC Stadium in West Carrollton Ohio.
“This is very unfortunate but we cannot control Mother Nature,” Technical Director and Head Coach, Sid van Druenen said. “We decided to move it to a Saturday late in March with the expectation that the weather will be warmer by then. We looked at some indoor options but everything is fully booked for the weekend.”
The Dayton Dutch Lions FC, competing in the Great Lakes Division with 2014 PDL Champions, the Michigan Bucks and MLS academy team Toronto FC U23 start their 2015 regular season with a home game against Canadian team, Forrest City London, on May 21st at 7.30pm. All home games will be played at DOC Stadium in West Carrollton Ohio.
