The Dayton Dutch Lions FC will host the Michigan Bucks this Friday, June 3rd at 7:30 pm. This will be the third straight home match for the Lions at Doc Stadium on the campus of West Carrollton high school. The Bucks sit atop of the Great Lakes Division (3-0-0 9 points) while Dayton is in 4th spot (0-1-1 1 point).
When the schedule came out in February, the Lions loved the fact that they had their first three matches at home. They were not nearly as happy when two of those foes were PDL defending champions, K-W United 2015 and Michigan 2014.
"Our roster is filled with talented players, but most do not have PDL experience," shared Head Coach Sid van Druenen. "We have to learn quickly how to take what we are doing in practice and apply it to the game pitch. We came out slow against K-W and they made us pay. We have worked hard in practice and look for a better showing this week. If we want to compete for playoff competition we need to garner points from the best teams. Friday gives us another opportunity to make that happen."
Tickets for the match are available in advance at www.ddlfc.com. Tickets will be available at the gate for $8 Adults and $5 Youth (12 and under). Children 5 and under are always free to Lions home games. For discounted group rates of 15 or more, please contact Ric Campbell at 937-902-9414.
