This past Sunday the Dayton Dutch Lions FC youth players played their first round in the DDLFC Winter Futsal league. All games where played at the Payne Recreation Center and the players entertained the fans with some good soccer, great skills and lots of goals.
Futsal is played indoor on a court the size of a basketball court. There are no walls and the teams cosist of 1 goalkeeper and 4 field players. It is a very high paced game and very important for the development of our players as the game forces them to make fast decisions and constantly works on everyones skills and movement of the ball.

Divided in 3 groups and a total of 16 teams the DDLFC Futsal league will be played every Saturday through out the winter so the players can still get training even when it is cold out. For more information about the DDLFC youth program please contact Academy Manager Shane Smith at s.smith@ddlfc.com
