The Dayton Dutch Lions FC is pleased to announce an addition to their roster this week. Brazilian born Thomaz Freitas looks to add his talents midway through the 2017 PDL season. Thomaz is a recent graduate from Notre Dame College where in his senior season he tallied 3 goals and 3 assists. Last summer he played for the Erie Commodores, a member of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL).
He was on tryout with the NASL San Francisco Deltas prior to arriving in Dayton.
He has been training with the team for several weeks. Coach Marcus Rixon made the decision to add him to the squad as believes he has fit in well with the team and should add to the teams chemistry on the pitch.
Coach Rixon shared, “Thomaz could be a missing piece that could add to our attack. His quality around the goal area is top notch. This lad has played some strong soccer the past few years and is ready to help us immediately. I look for good things from Thomaz.”
