Tonight, the Dayton Dutch Lions FC return to DOC Stadium after three road matches in their second of three games in 2017 with the Michigan Bucks. In 2016, the series between the two teams was split, with each team earning a win on their home field. In 2017, the Dutch Lions won the first game with the Bucks in a 2-1 victory at DOC Stadium. The Michigan Bucks have rebounded from that loss to the Dutch Lions earlier in the season and have not lost since, moving them into second place in the Great Lakes Division. A win for the Lions on Wednesday would put them into a tie with the Bucks for second in the division.
After some adjustment to the PDL, captain midfielder Glen Van Geldorp has been hitting on all cylinders, providing the Dutch Lions with goals and assist.
Wednesday’s game will showcase numerous strong players all over the field which will make for a great contest. The PDL has identified a few players worth noting. The Dutch Lions have the #4 PDL prospect in Amass Amankona while the Michigan Bucks will bring the #2 prospect Francis Atuahene and number #11 prospect Bradley Dunwell.
We invite you to come and join us at DOC Stadium Wednesday June 12th to support your Dayton Dutch Lions FC at 7 PM.
