GAME DAY PREVIEW – ON THE ROAD TO DERBY CITY

(West Carrollton, OH 6/16/17)   The Dayton Dutch Lions FC (3-4-0) will travel to Louisville, Kentucky to take on the Derby City Rovers (1-3-1) today. This will be the second meeting between these two teams in 2017. The previous matchup was a 2-0 home win for the Dutch Lions. In that contest, the Dutch Lions were sparked in their play when substitutes Charlie Maciejewski and Hussin Al Yassiri each scored goals to lead the Lions to victory.

Halfway through the season the Dayton Dutch Lions sit in fourth place in the Great Lakes divisional standings. A win would lift the Lions into sole possession of third place. The Lions are coming off a tough a 1-0 loss on Wednesday versus the defending champion, Michigan Bucks, having played a very strong game.

Derby City will want to revenge their earlier loss and get back on the winning track as they lost 3-0 to K-W United last time out. Last year, Derby took the home match after losing at DOC Stadium, but the Lions will do everything possible to not allow history to repeat itself in 2017.

The Dayton Dutch Lions will return to action a week later at DOC stadium for a clash against the division leader, K-W United. That matchup will be Friday June 23rd at 7 PM.

Tickets are available .....$8.00 for adults,  $5.00 for youth (ages 6-18)/seniors/veterans and 5 and under are free.
