With great sadness we were informed by the soccer club ADO Den Haag today that Sylvia Nooij, former player of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Women’s team in 2014, died yesterday at the age of 32. She was only part of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC team for one season, but is still remembered for her very positive attitude and work ethic being an example to all the other players. Sylvia played 131 games for ADO Den Haag and won the Dutch National Championship and Dutch CUP twice. She also played six games for the Dutch National Team. Our condolences to her family and friends.
