Tonight, our Men’s team concludes their 2017 PDL campaign with a home match against the West Virginia Chaos. Coming into this game on a three game winning streak, West Virginia was able to jump DDL in the standings, and secure a third place finish in the Great Lakes division with a win over the Cincinnati Dutch Lions on Thursday. Dayton currently sits in 5th place and could pull even with 4th place Cincinnati, at 18 points, with a win tonight against West Virginia.
Dayton currently sits in 5th place and could pull even with 4th place Cincinnati, at 18 points, with a win tonight against West Virginia. This is the third matchup between these two squads, and the first to be held at DOC Stadium. DDL split the first two meetings with the Chaos in West Virginia, falling 4-1 on June 1st before winning 1-0 on June 8th. This also marks the third match of the week for the Dutch Lions, who are ending the season with one of the most grueling stretches on their schedule. DDL started the week by battling the Cincinnati Dutch Lions to a scoreless tie on Monday. This was followed by a trip to Canada, where Dayton fell to K-W United, 2-1, on Wednesday. A win tonight against the Chaos would provide an exciting end to a very busy week, and finish the 2017 PDL season the right way.
Tickets will be available at the gate ~ $8 Adults and $5 Youth (ages 6-18), Seniors, and Veterans. Children 5 and under are always free to Lions home games. For discounted group rates of 12 or more, please contact Ric Campbell at 937-902-9414.
