Defensively, the Dutch Lions had a solid performance, were very organized and aware of the spaces, controlling the opponent attempts to build up and limiting their game on the last third of the pitch. It was nice to see the team reaction after losing ball possession as we had a quick transition most of the time and pressing the ball carrier immediately.
On the ball, the Lions team presented some really nice moments. The boys had control of the game from the beginning with nice organization and good collective dynamic. They were able to move the ball around the field with quality due to good movement off the ball. It was good to see the team building up their game from the back with confidence using the entire width to unbalance the opposing defensive organization.
After the game coach Bruno had the following statement “ I couldn’t be happier with the start of the season and the way these boys have been working. Today the boys had a really nice game. They were able to bring on to the field what we have worked during the practices, which for me as a coach is more important than the result itself. Defensively we were very organized, with good space occupation and quick transitions. On the ball we have presented a good collective dynamic, moving the ball with confidence and using the space wisely. Now is time to get back to work and focus on the things we want to implement, continuing gradually our learning process.”
Ryan was selected as the ALT Player of the Match. Coach Bruno said "for me it is really difficult to individualize performances today because everyone had a nice game. However I've decided to choose Ryan for his audacity, creativity on the ball and his availability to help on defense, nowadays soccer is a 360 degrees game and Ryan was able to materialize it today."

Age/Gender: U15 Boys
Location: DOC Stadium | West Carrollton
Players: Connor B., Justin, Keaton, Aaron, Josiah, Owen, R.J., Ryan, Noah, Gradey, Ales, Evan, Deng, Connor C.
Result: 6-1 W
Goal(s): Noah (2), Evan (2), Deng & Gradey
ALT Player of the game: Noah

Defensively, the Dutch Lions team had a positive performance, the young Lions showed a good organization, closing the spaces inside, limiting the opposing team’s offensive process. Besides the organization, another positive factor was the defensive transition. The players had a quick change of attitude, after losing the ball possession, either by pressing the ball carrier or recovering their positions on the pitch. Although some individuals mistakes it was a very positive display.
Offensively, the team had also a pleasant performance. The boys were moving the ball with confidence, controlling the ball possession, and creating chances to score, mostly due to a nice movement off the ball and the way the team were utilizing the space. It was very positive to see all the players involved on the process, including the goalkeeper, that for numerous times was an option to switch the field sides and take the take the ball out of the pressure.
After the game coach Bruno had the following statement “I'm really pleased with our performance today, the boys have assimilated well what we have been working during the week, and today was nice to see those things come back during the match. More than the result we need to emphasize the performance, they boys seemed very comfortable on the ball, with constant movement, providing multiple options to the ball carrier. Without the ball the organization, and the position game was good, what reduced drastically the chances for our opponent to build up their game." To conclude" now is important to understand that not everything was great, and that is still some points that need to improve, and that will be our focus, at the end of the day this is a progressive learning process."
For the ALT player of the match, Coach Bruno named Noah and shared, "Today I think everyone had a really nice performance, however I would like to recognize Noah as player of the match for his work rate, he was an important player on our offensive maneuver, linking the game from the back and transporting the ball into the last third of the field."
