TEAM OF THE SEASON – FALL 2017

TEAM OF THE SEASON – FALL 2017

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC are pleased to announce the 2017 Team of the Season sponsored by ALT Architecture.  This team has 11 selections and 7 honorable mentions.  They were picked by the coaching staff for being the top 18 players week-in and week-out who gave their very best effort, demonstrated the core values and pushed to reach their potential in practices and games.

CONGRATULATIONS to....

The coaches had the following to share:

"Elliott, Oliver and Samir have led the U10 boys all season.  They love the game and have excellent attitudes towards learning more.  Each of them are great teammates and include everyone in pushing to be their best.  Our entire team showed much improvement and these three were important to that growth as they led by example all the time. I am so pleased for them and wish them the very best in the days ahead," said Coach Ric Campbell.

Coach Bradley Schluter stated, "These young ladies were leaders for us and are exactly the type of players we want in our club.  Ava, Nicole, Rachel and Laura were the cornerstone for our team as they were willing to play multiple positions and adjust to what ever I asked of them.  It makes coaching a joy when you have these type of players wanting to improve and helping grow your team as their passion for soccer is contagious."

"The U13 boys were short on rostered players, but not in quality.  Christian, Daniel, Joseph, Akol and Kon gave a strong effort each time out.  I could count on a quality performance from these boys every time and it was a pleasure coaching them.  Each of these young men played several positions and did so willing.  They are so deserving of this recognition," said Coach Ric.

Coach Bruno Lopes shared, "All of our players worked hard, but Evan, Gabe, Noah, R.J., Connor C. and Owen stood out this fall.  They set a perfect example of leadership, effort, hard work and attitude.  I look forward to working with them as they prepare for high school.  They will continue to add value in the future."

We would like to thank ALT Architecture for their sponsorship of the team.  They have been a sponsor of the Dutch Lions for several years, but they picked up additional support this summer with the Mens PDL and Womens WPSL Player of the Game and continued this fall with our Academy Team of the Week.
