Dayton, April 2, 2018 - Dayton Dutch Lions FC welcomes Hans van Elden to the Miami Valley. Hans will be with the club for the next few months adding a bit of "Dutch Flair" to the club, coaches and Orange Family. Hans is a former youth Dutch National player as well as a First Division professional player for Wageningen and Vitesse FC.
"I am so pleased to Hans visiting with us," shared General Manager Ric Campbell. "His experience as a player is outstanding, but even greater is his knowledge and teaching as a trainer. He has over 20 years experience with the Royal Dutch Soccer Academy as trainer for the UEFA C, B and A license. He has worked with former professional players in Spain, Germany, Portugal and Holland."
"The past four years he has been the Director for the Curacao Soccer Academy coaching the youth national teams in various international tournaments. His work with U11 - U18 players is extensive and we look forward to his guidance at DDL FC."
van Elden will be observing numerous training sessions, soccer camps and clinics as well as watching the Mens PDL team. We will soon be sharing an interview with Hans as he provides his perspective on the Dutch style of youth soccer training.
Please give Hans a warm ORANGE FAMILY welcome when you see him at the pitch.
