FOUR FAMILIAR FACES

FOUR FAMILIAR FACES

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC is pleased to announce 4 additional signings for the men's PDL roster.  Chris Dupont, Bradley Schluter, Eric Hutton and Peyton Mowery are the newest members of the Dayton Dutch Lions.  All four of these players have local playing ties and have played for Head Coach Dan Griest in the past.

"Experienced versatile players who are willing to give 100% and play anywhere on the pitch describes Chris, Bradley, Eric and Peyton," said Griest. "These are seasoned players who have played NPSL and PDL as well as full careers in college.  Each of them are able to play multiple positions which gives me a lot of flexibility with our lineup.  I look for each to contribute greatly this summer."

.

Dupont, offensive midfielder, comes to us from Canada and has played in Europe for Servette FC (Switzerland) and FC Metz (France).  He came to Dayton where he played two seasons with the Wright State Raiders.  Chris brings valuable PDL experience as a two year member of the Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC where he led the team in scoring in 2016.

Dupont has excellent vision, ball control and is a leader in the middle of the park.  He is a tenacious ball winner who can control a soccer match with his play.

Schluter, defender, grew up in Dayton playing his youth soccer at Centerville High School and Cincinnati United Premier.  He played two seasons at Cincinnnati State where he was named a NJCAA Second Team All-American.  He followed with two years at Cedarville University where he started 31 of 41 matches he played for the Yellow Jackets.  He has 3 years of PDL experience having been a teammate of Dupont's at CDL FC for two years and 2016 member with Dayton Dutch Lions FC.

Schluter is a very steady defender who puts himself in great position on the field.  He can start the counter-attack and get the ball into the offensive third very effectively.

Hutton, offensive midfielder, had an illustrious high school career at Zane Trace High School.  He was named first-team All-State as a junior and senior, named the District Player of the Year in 2014 and led team in scoring and assists each of the four years.  He continues his career at Wright State University where he has started all 58 matches he has played in.  As a Freshman, he was named to the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team.

Hutton provides a brilliant touch to the midfield and is very offensive minded.  He pushes the pace of play and really tests opponent's backlines.  His support of the forwards is very timely adding value to the attack.

Mowery, defensive midfielder, played two years at Troy High School before focusing on play with two years in the Columbus Crew Academy. He is a member of the University of Cincinnati soccer team where he has started 43 of his 52 matches. He has contributed to a defense that has posted 13 shutouts during his three years.

Mowery is extremely versatile as he has experience along the backline as well as the defending midfield.  He is solid on the ball, good in the air and has a 90 minute engine.  He covers a lot of pitch during the course of a match.

DDL FC General Manager Ric Campbell shared, "It is important for Coach Griest to have players that he knows he can count on.  All four of these guys have logged many minutes in college and in the NPSL/PDL leagues.  They all have played for Griest previously and this provides us with a strong base of players who know what is expected of them.  I am excited to bring these players on board for this summer as we contend for the Great Lakes Conference title."
