The Dayton Dutch Lions FC (8-2-3) will play host at the DOC Stadium to Lansing United (6-2-5) in the final regular season match of the year. Kickoff for the match will be at 4:00pm. The Lions clinched the Great Lakes Division Championship last night as Lansing are fighting for the final playoff spot.
"We are so pleased with our season and excited to give some additional players some minutes tomorrow," shared Head Coach Dan Griest. "All season long, we have had 35+ players training to make our game day rosters. With us clinching our playoff spot, we will look to give some tired legs a rest and discover those players who are pushing to make the playoff roster. We have several guys who are finally fully recovered from injury and need to get some game day minutes."
This is the third meeting of the year between the top two teams in the division. Lansing had a come-from-behind win in early June scoring three goals in the final 20 minutes for a final score of 3-1. A week later, they played to a 1-1 draw in Lansing. United needs a win to ensure inclusion in next weekends conference playoffs.
