GP: I currently play for Cleveland State University. In high school I played for Ambassadors FC.

DDLFC: What position(s) do you (prefer) to play?

GP: I prefer to play as the number nine (striker) and secondly as a 7 or 11 as winger.

DDLFC: What have been the highlights of your soccer career?

GP: Some highlights of my soccer career are having a team high in goals this past year for CSU and being in the top 10 in goals in our conference.

DDLFC: Why did you choose to play for DDL FC the upcoming season?

GP: I chose to play for the Dayton Dutch Lions FC this season because I believe in Coach Dan Griest’s style of play and the organization itself to win another Conference Championship. I want to be a part of a winning organization and I believe that I can help accomplish that goal with the team.

DDLFC: What are your expectations for the 2019 season?

GP: My expectations for the team are to do extremely well in the U.S. Open Cup and to win another Conference Championship!

Head Coach Dan Griest commented on Pewu’s signing: “I am really excited to add Gabriel to the squad for the 2019 Summer.  He is a forward with tremendous size and pace with a tremendous ability to hold up balls in the final third and combine to create chances.  He also possesses the ability to play numerous roles, which should prove tremendously useful as we push to repeat as champions.  I think his work ethic and commitment will lead to very big things this summer and I look forward to working with him."
