Head Coach Dan Griest commented on NAME’s signing:

“Zach is player I have been very high for a couple years now. We have a very good relationship with Coach Nichol and his staff at Bowling Green, and I am very excited to be able to get a few of his players in with us this summer.  Zach is a tremendously smart defensive mid that reads the game and dictates the pace of a match very well.  He is a very "team first" player that will give our attackers a ton of freedom to go and be creative in the final third while also protecting our back three or four and ending counter attacks.  I think he will fit in perfect with our style of play and I am really excited to see him in a Dayton Dutch Lion jersey this summer as we look to repeat as Great Lakes Division Champions this summer”.
