SSG Ronald W. Duncan to perform National Anthem at every home game

Dayton Dutch Lions FC is pleased to announce that SSG Ronald W. Duncan will be performing the National Anthem at every home game of the Men’s team, and his daughter will do the same for the Women’s team. SSG Duncan is currently a Staff Sergeant and trumpet section leader of the 38 Infantry Division the Army National Guard Band in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a member of the 38 Infantry Division Band SSG Duncan has performed solo "Taps" for the 2011-2019 running of the Indianapolis 500, the 2011 Brickyard 400, and the Indiana Ice. For the last four seasons, Duncan had the honor and privilege of performing our National Anthem at the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts games.

SSG Duncan has served 19 years as a clinician and public-school music educator. As a music educator, his ensembles had consistently earned superior ratings in marching, concert band, and choirs at OMEA State Finals. His marching bands was consistently a finalist at Mid-States Band Association Championships and appeared at Bands of America Grand Nationals for several years. SSG Duncan is the music caption head for WinterGuard International’s winds division, 2017 Gold Medalist Champions, Inertia Independent Winds. SSG Duncan is a member with the Central States Judges Association traveling in the summer and fall serving as a marching band judge for high school programs around the south and Midwest. Presently, SSG Duncan is the general music teacher at Tri-County North Elementary, in Lewisburg, Ohio. We look forward to seeing SSG Ronald W. Duncan and his daughter at our games
