Dayton Dutch Lions FC's Men's team is traveling to Pittsburgh to take on Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on May 14 in the second round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The game is played in Highmark Stadium and starts at 7pm.
Head Coach Dan Griest commented on the upcoming game: "We are really excited to get an opportunity to compete against such a tremendous team. Obviously our season is still extremely young and we are still working through learning just what we are capable of as individuals and collectively, but I am confident that we go up there and give our all for each other and the city of Dayton. We will need to be extremely smart in our decision making, and resolute in our commitment to defending, but we are hopeful we can take our chances in and around the final third and make it a very challenging and competitive match for them".
Pittsburgh is currently in 13th place in the Eastern Conference of the USL Championship, with a 2-1-5 record (8 games, 11 points). They have not lost a game in their five last matches.
