The Dayton Dutch Lions FC Men's team scored first to take the lead, but Grand Rapids FC made use of spaces given in the 2nd half and scored six times in in the final game of the USL League Two season.
The Lions were the early aggressors, and it paid dividends in the 9th minute. A strike by Michael Vogel came off the far post, but Marcos Vila gathered the rebound and buried his shot for a 1-0 lead. The Lions protected the lead until the 20th minute, and then Grand Rapids assumed control of the match. The visitors scored six unanswered goals as they cruised to a sixth straight victory.
The Lions fell to a disappointing 0-13-1 record with the loss, but look to use the offseason to rebuild for a more successful campaign in 2022.
