DDL FC women lose home opener despite 2 goals from Sedlak

The Lady Lions certainly showed improvement compared to Frida's season opener and was leading 2-1 at half time. Bailey Sedlak, a Bellbrook native and currently playing for Ohio Dominican, scored two first half goals. But it wasn't enough as Lady Victory FC defeated the Dayton Dutch Lions 5-2 in the home opener at DOC Stadium on Sunday night.

Sedlak got her first goal of the season on a pass from Maya Ryder in the 29th minute of the first half. Then in the 38th minute Sedlak scored the second goal for the Lions with the assist going to Julia Herzog.

Former Dayton Dutch Lions FC player Nicoletta Anuci scored two goals for Lady Victory. Lady Victory improves to 1-0, while the Dutch Lions FC fall to 0-2.

The Lions will be back in action this Saturday May 28 when they host Dayton FC at 7:30 pm in a double header with the men's team, who will also be in action on Saturday night when they host the Cleveland Force at 5 pm also at DOC Stadium.
