Its doubleheader action this Saturday, at DOC Stadium on the campus of West Carrollton High School, as the Dayton Dutch Lions men’s team host the Cleveland Force and women’s teams host FC Dayton.
In the first match it will be the men taking on the Cleveland Force, kickoff is at 5 pm. Dayton plays in the USL 2’s Valley Division.
The Dutch Lions will be looking for their first win of the season coming into this Saturday’s match with a 0-2 record and no draws. Cleveland will come in having played 1 match that ended in a draw.
Dayton features a lot of local talent from UD, Wright State and Wilmington plus international talent.
In the nightcap it will be a battle for supremacy as the Lady Dutch Lions square off with FC Dayton and the inaugural Dayton Cup.
The ladies will also have local talent as well as an international flavor also on Saturday. That match will be at 7:30 pm.
Both the Dutch Lions and FC Dayton play in the Women’s Premier Soccer League’s Ohio Conference Western Division.
FC Dayton comes into Saturday’s game with a 1-0 record. They defeated the Cincinnati Sirens 5-0 last Saturday. The Dutch Lions women are coming into this match after 2 disappointing matches last weekend.
