It was doubleheader night at DOC Stadium on Saturday night.
In the first match Joe Koudadio had 2 goals and an assist as the Dayton Dutch Lions and the Cleveland Force tied 3-3 in a real exciting matchup. Koudadio got the first goal, in the 10th minute, of the match with a nice pass from Prestin Manthey and it was 1-0 Dutch Lions.
Cleveland would answer with a goal of their own in the 30th minute when Cole Wirthmuller took a pass from Marko Rimac and scored and were tied at 1.
The Force's James Hoover got the first of his 2 goals in the 43rd minute when Rimac took a shot and it bounced off Dayton Goalkeeper Nils
Roth right to Hoover and Hoover put it in the net and it was 2-1 Cleveland at the half.
10 minutes into the second half the Dutch Lions tied the match up with a goal. Prestin Manthey took a pass from Joe Koudadio and slid the ball past Cleveland’s Goalkeeper Andrew Cooke tying it at 2-2 in the 60th minute.
But that didn't last long. 4 minutes later James Hoover would get his second goal and Cleveland took a 3-2 lead in the 64th minute.
The Force, thinking they had this wrapped up, committed a foul in the penalty area which allowed Dayton a penalty kick in extra time.
With not much time left in the match, Joe Koudadio went to the right side of the net, Cooke went left and we were tied at 3.
Cleveland is now 0-0-2 while the Dutch Lions are 0-2-1.
