DDL FC women host FC Pride this Sunday

Two matches remain for the Dayton Dutch Lions women's soccer team.

This Sunday they will close out the home portion of the schedule when they host the FC Pride from Indianapolis Indiana. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm at DOC Stadium on the campus of West Carrollton High School.

The Dutch Lions are 0-5-1 coming into Sunday night's match while FC Pride will have a tough match vs FC Dayton on Friday before coming to Dayton.

It will be a rematch of the first match of the season when these teams met back in May in Indianapolis.

Help the Dutch Lions celebrate Fathers Day this Sunday.

The following Sunday they will travel to Centerville soccer stadium, to close out the season vs FC Dayton at 5 pm.

For the men, Rashid Seidu-Aroza scored 2 goals to lead the Dutch Lions to their first victory of the year, a 4-1 win over the Cleveland Force Wednesday night in Cleveland.

Sem Plezier got the scoring started in the 37th minute Dayton led 1-0.

Towards the end of the half Rashid Seidu-Aroza scored his first goal in the 44 minute and then scored his second goal, in extra time at the end of the half.

Then just after the second half started Romeo Yao who put the ball in the net and Dayton had a 4-0 lead.

Cleveland would get their lone goal in the 85th minute to avoid the shutout.

The Dutch Lions will have some time off before the next match on Thursday July 7th when they host Kings Hammer at 7pm at DOC Stadium.
