The Hammer's Ben Damge scored two late match goals to lead Kings Hammer to a 6-1 victory over the Dayton Dutch Lions Thursday night at DOC Stadium on the campus of West Carrollton High School.
Kings scored four times in the first half with the first goal of the game an own goal in the third minute of the match. It only got worse for the Dutch Lions. In the 39th minute, with the Dutch Lions trailing 4-0, Saul Fernandez Moran, received a red card for rough play. That meant the Duch Lions had to play a man down for the remainder of the match.
The only bright spot for the Dutch Lions came in the 36th minute when a Kings defenseman accidentally put the ball in the goal and Dayton was credited with an own goal. Dayton will return to the pitch on Sunday when they host Fort Wayne FC at 5 pm at DOC Stadium.
