Joseph Kouadio scored 2 goals to lead the Dayton Dutch Lions to a 2-1 victory over Toledo Villa at DOC Stadium on the campus of West Carrollton High School. It was the final home match of the season for the Dutch Lions.
Kouadio got the Dutch Lions on the scoreboard first with a penalty kick in the 62nd minute. Kouadio shot the ball to the right while Toledo Goalkeeper Brendan Graves went left and it's 1-0 Dutch Lions. Just 6 minutes later Kouadio fired a shot past Graves and it's 2-0 Dutch Lions in the 68th minute.
In the 83rd minute Toledo got on the board when N'Fali Dinalli scored after a shot by a Toledo forward and it went off of the goalkeeper Nils Roth and put it into the back of the goal and it was 2-1 Dayton.
The final 8 minutes was frantic as Toledo tried to get that tying goal and they thought they had a goal but one of the Toledo players was offside thus the goal was disallowed.
Dayton improves to 2-8-2 while Toledo falls to 4-10 on the year. The Dutch Lions will close out the season with a pair of road matches over the weekend.
Friday they travel to Kentucky to battle the Kings Hammer and then on Saturday the final match of the season in South Bend Indiana to take on the South Bend Lions.
