Dayton Dutch Lions FC Men's team achievements 2010-2018.
Dayton Dutch Lions FC's Men's team has won one championship since the start in 2010. After playing one year in USL PDL the club was awarded the USL Progress of the Year Award and promoted to USL Pro, in which League they played for four years. In the second year the team made some noise in the US Open Cup reaching the quarterfinal after beating Columbus Crew of MLS 1-2 away. In the quarterfinal they lost vs Sporting Kansas City in front of 16.000 fans, who eventually won the Cup. In the third year in USL (after two losing seasons) the team qualified for the play-offs after a winning record. In 2018 Coach Dan Griest led the team to their first ever championship in a strong Great Lakes Conference. Many players have turned pro at or after playing for DDL FC, both in the USA as well as in Europe.
