Head Coach – Marcus Rixon

Marcus Rixon joins the Dayton Dutch Lions FC as the Head Coach of the Men’s PDL team and Academy Director of Coaching.

Nixon, born in Portsmouth, England, holds the UEFA BA coaching license and has coached youth through semi-professional players at Basingstoke College, South Downs College, Horndean FC Club, Chelseas FC Ladies Academy and Eastleigh in England.

His experience and soccer knowledge will be of great value as he coaches the Lions.  He will lead the team into its third straight season of PDL competition and 7th overall with the United Soccer Leagues.



Associate Head Coach – Bruno Lopes

Bruno Lopes, natural of the Algarve in Portugal, possesses the UEFA B coaching license and has coached in the youth of FC Ferreiras and Imortal DC.

Joining the Dayton Dutch Lions FC, as a youth coach, in September of 2014, Coach Lopes had a important role in the successful 2015 PDL campaign of sister club Cincinnati Dutch Lions FC, where Coach Lopes was one of the main assistants and ended up finishing the season as their interim head coach leading the team to playoffs for the first time in club history.  In 2016, he was the main trainer/assistant head coach for PDL Dayton Dutch Lions FC and has been promoted to the Associate Head Coach this season.

    DDL Soccer Complex

    All practices and games of the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Men’s team (USL PDL) and Women’s team (USL W-League) will be at the Dayton Dutch Lions FC Soccer Complex in West Carrollton. The stadium seats 3500 people. In 2014 the Dayton Dutch Lions FC and Dayton Outpatient Center (DOC) installed an new artificial turf field in the stadium. DOC Stadium was opened in May 2014 when former 2x “FIFA Best Player in the World” Ruud Gullit kicked off the game against LA Galaxy II in the USL PRO League.
